Today’s rescue is of desperate pup Connie. In November 2021, a torrential flood struck southwestern British Columbia, leaving behind a trail of destruction and displacement.
Amidst the chaos, a brave dog named Connie was found clinging to a log in the raging waters of the Fraser River. This marked the beginning of an incredible journey towards a brighter future.
A “Pitty Party” at the shelter
At the Delta Community Animal Shelter, Connie found refuge and care.
The compassionate staff dedicated themselves to nursing her back to health. They celebrated Connie’s one-year anniversary at the shelter with a heartwarming “pitty party.” Little did they know that their efforts were about to be rewarded.

As she stepped into her new home, she faced an adjustment period. Yet, with the unwavering dedication of her adopter, Connie gradually settled into a life filled with love, comfort, and hope.
