The rescue
When Angel was rescued from an animal organization in Ireland, she refused to turn around and face her new home.
The staff at PAWs Animal Rescue believed that she had been traumatized and abused. When Angel arrived at their facility, she did something unusual – she just faced the wall in their office and refused to move for several days. They would leave food for her, but Angel would only eat when no one was watching.
The transformation begins
After a few days, the rescue team decided to bring in another dog from the same pound. Immediately, they noticed a change in Angel’s personality. She seemed to recognize the other dog. The nonprofit organization speculated that this new arrival could be her brother and named him Clef.
Angel was suffering from mange and the team at Paws Animal Rescue feared that she might have long-term psychological problems due to her traumatic past.
A new beginning
However, six months later, something remarkable happened. Angel’s personality completely transformed. She found her voice and began to show signs of trust towards humans again. Soon after this breakthrough, a couple who had recently lost their two dogs fell in love with Angel.
They decided to give her a forever home where she is now thriving.
Nowadays, Angel is doing great. Her new family says that she has adapted well to her new environment and they couldn’t be happier with their decision to adopt her.
