The perilous predicament
The tiny, abandoned kitten was discovered in a hazardous situation – he was alone and terrified in the middle of a bustling six-lane boulevard. Fast-moving cars were whizzing past him, paying no heed to his plight.
The little one was too small to climb onto the cement ledge or jump over the curb. He was stuck, and danger lurked at every moment.
The poor baby’s luck turned when a compassionate driver noticed him on the brink of danger.
Recognizing his vulnerability, she decided to intervene. She stopped her vehicle in the middle of the boulevard, turning on her hazard lights as she moved towards him.
Other drivers saw her actions and followed suit, creating a safe space for the rescue. The scared kitten bolted at first but was eventually secured with the help of another kind-hearted driver.
A new lease on life
Thanks to these good Samaritans, this little life was saved from being run over.
He was brought into loving arms where he received much-needed care for his malnourished frame and infected eyes.
A support chain in Villeray came together to provide him with deworming treatments, anti-parasite medication, and nutritional supplements.
Nurturing ‘Batistt’
The young kitten, nicknamed Batistt, quickly bounced back from his traumatic ordeal. He felt safe with his rescuers and started gaining strength and weight.
He made friends with other kittens in his foster home and settled comfortably into his new surroundings.
Batistt is now looking for a forever home that will provide him with abundant love and care. The ideal family would have a playful feline companion for Batistt and provide a peaceful environment for him to thrive.
Batistt is vaccinated and will be neutered before his adoption process begins.
His story serves as an inspiration for us all, reminding us of the power of compassion and action in saving lives.
